Carenect Program

The Carenect Program Offers Immediate Help During an Emergency or As a Tool to Help Combat Isolation & Loneliness with the Push of a Button!

Do you worry about you or your loved one falling or falling again? Many people have a fear of falling, and rightfully so, as the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) states that each year, millions of older adults (65 and older) fall and 1 out of 5 falls causes a serious injury such as broken bones or a head injury.
Each year, 2.8 million older people are treated in emergency departments for fall injuries. Many people who fall, even if they’re not injured, become afraid of falling. The combination of falling, or fear of falling, with social isolation puts many older adults at a greater serious risk of death at 45 percent. An estimated 1 in 5 adults over age 50 — at least 8 million — are affected by isolation and prolonged isolation can be as bad for your health as smoking 15 cigarettes a day, according to the Expand Your Circles – Prevent Isolation and Loneliness As You Age campaign.
What is the Carenect Program?
The National Association of Area Agencies on Aging (n4a) and CST-LTL partnered to offer families an in-home security blanket. CST is taking on an integral role in health care reform. The application of technology provides an avenue for early intervention during a crisis. Carenect is supported by two fully redundant, multi-lingual, 24/7 domestic care centers, which allows for individuals to access emergency or socialization assistance any time of the day or night. With the easy-to-use Carenect systems, people can rest assured that help or access to socialization is one push of a button away.
They offer a range of Carenect units to fit anyone’s needs or a loved one’s comfort. The systems are compact and each pendant or wristband is waterproof for added security. There are no long-term contract commitments.
